Blenheim Design were approached by Japan Centre Kaicho – Mr Tokumine, in June 2015 to plan and design Shoreditch site.

Landlords enabling works and tanking of the basement took two years before shop fitting works could start on the restaurant.

Site restrictions were challenging however they also opened new doors in creative thinking.

As Shoryu designers we had to go on a creative space discovery. This is hidden from the customers view and the result is fresh and crisp interior.

Restaurant is uncluttered with large redwood table dominating the space and connecting customers with the centre of the room and the open kitchen activity.

London brick wall is complemented with the granite counter and oak floor.
